IInquiry and rough cut review
Send an email to zaziediya@gmail.com with five things: format (short, feature, series, game, trailer), scored runtime, delivery date or festival deadline, budget range, and two or three reference tracks or films for tone. A rough cut or assembly is useful if you have one. The studio watches it before quoting, because runtime alone never tells truth about how much music a film needs. Reply within 48 hours with written quote and available window. Nothing booked until deposit received. See how to start a commission FAQ and scoring rates.
IISpotting session - cheapest place to change mind
Cut plays head to tail with director, every cue marked: where music starts, where it stops, what it does dramatically, where it must stay out of dialogue or sound design. Output is cue sheet with timings, tone agreement per cue, delivery schedule. Spotting is cheapest place to change mind: costs nothing there and a lot later. Remote by default over video call with cut playing in sync. See spotting FAQ.
- 01
Psychological horror intent
What is the scene actually doing? Dread, dissociation, reveal, pursuit, grief, contamination? Each cue gets dramatic function before note written.
- 02
Timing and density
Where music must stay out of dialogue and sound design. Cue count and scored runtime are most of quote. See what moves price.
- 03
Tone agreement per cue
Reference tracks and films for tone, plus showreel cues you temped with and why. Temp love is normal hazard; say if you want score to sound like temp or like itself.
IIIComposition - psychological architecture and dark atmospheric color
Original scores for psychological horror, folk horror, body horror, supernatural thrillers, cosmic horror, techno thrillers and dark science fiction. Palette is struck strings, bowed metal, hybrid orchestration and custom synthesiser builds, written to picture rather than pulled from library. Every commissioned cue is written for your picture, no stock, no generative model. See 29 original horror cues and selected horror productions.
- 01
Psychological architecture
Slow-burn beds, dissociative harmony, tension shaped to cut. Built for psychological horror, folk horror, supernatural thrillers. Themes that carry through film, trailer, festival cut.
- 02
Dark atmospheric color
Hybrid orchestration, sub-frequency weight, frozen ambient space. Bowed metal, waterphone, custom synths. Atmospheric horror beds and dread sound design.
- 03
Cinematic themes and motifs
Motifs designed to carry emotional weight of cut. Not generic. Score feels inseparable from cut: quiet dread, clear themes, nothing generic - per collaborator review.
IVRevisions - two rounds per cue plus consolidation
Default is two revision rounds per cue during composition, plus one consolidation pass after full score delivered. Round means one collected set of notes: send everything at once rather than note a day. Rounds beyond that, and any recue caused by picture change after lock, billed as change order at rate in quote. Nobody surprised if agreed at start. See revisions FAQ and cancellation terms.
VDelivery - what lands in inbox
Standard delivery is stereo full mix, stems by instrumental family (typically four to eight), alternate and tension variant mixes where scoped, MP3 reference set for editorial, and cue sheet with titles, timings and instrumentation. Files are 24-bit WAV at 48 kHz unless project needs another rate. Stems printed from head of picture with matching timecode so they drop straight onto dub stage. Immersive or surround formats, album master and soundtrack release master are separate deliverables. See deliverables FAQ.
Small trims inside existing cue usually absorbed as courtesy. Anything structural, scene reordered, sequence dropped, runtime extended, is recue and quoted before done. See picture lock FAQ.
VIRights, credit, and cue sheet filing
Default grant is buyout: on payment in full, copyright in commissioned score passes to production, for picture and its versions, in all media and territories, in perpetuity. Composer keeps writer's share of public performance royalties and PRO affiliation, right to be credited, right to use excerpts in reel, portfolio and press. Negotiable: exclusive licence, non-exclusive licence, different publishing split can be agreed before quote. Signed agreement always beats this page. See licensing, rights and credits and who owns score FAQ.
End crawl: Music by Zazie Kanwar-Torge. Press and festival listings: Original score by Zazie Kanwar-Torge (Zazie Productions). Copyable wording at licensing page credit section. Production files cue sheet with PROs because it goes with picture delivery paperwork; composer supplies music side. See cue sheet FAQ.
Default grant does not licence music, stems or session data for machine learning training. No commissioned cue composed by generative model. See AI training FAQ.
